We all need to be heard, yet we live in a world where it is so hard
to find someone to REALLY listen.

Passionate About Providing YOU the Best Care!
Growing up I always wanted to be an accountant and work in business. However, that was not my purpose. After three profound deaths of some of the closest people to me from the ages of 18-21, I started studying mental health. Providing mental health care was what I was meant to do.
I am passionate about providing comprehensive care and improving the overall health in my patients. I strongly believe in the total body connection, recognizing illnesses are much more than just a “body part.” I am well known for my energy, out of the box thinking and ability to recognize missed health conditions. I am very open minded and consider many options to improve mental health, in addition to medication and therapy. I work hard to get my patients well .

I cannot express the power of listening. It is a rare gift to find someone that hears you and one of the most powerful things we do in mental health. It is important for me to meet patients where they are. This means I listen to them, understand them, their background, their life, their needs, goals, and how I can help them.

After almost 25 years in the Navy, I retired and started my own psychiatry practice. I provide general outpatient psychiatry services directly to patients in Coronado, CA. However, most of my appointments are through telepsychiatry appointments to individuals throughout state of CA.
Personally, I have been involved in animal rescue and rehabilitation for many years, both in San Diego, CA and Japan. I am also a long time international host, which gives me a great deal of unique cultural perspective. Frequently, I volunteer to give suicide prevention talks.
